From a young age, Adja has sought to understand the deeper layers within herself and others. She studied theatre at KASK in Ghent (2012–2015) before traveling to India and Nepal to explore the practice of rituals. Returning to Belgium, she merged her love for storytelling with her fascination for ceremonies, channeling both into her jazz studies at the Leuven Conservatory. There, she embraced her voice as her central instrument, weaving it into creations that blend music, theatricality, and ritualistic elements. During her studies, she submitted her first compositions to the prestigious Soundtrack competition for young talent in Flanders—winning the finals in 2021 on the stage of Ancienne Belgique.
