Stella Zekri’s DJ sets are guided by emotion over precision, playing with soul and intuition rather than rigid beatmatching. A dedicated vinyl collector, she started her journey with hip-hop, funk, soul, jazz, and boogie before diving deep into the world of electronic dance music after moving to Berlin in 2015. Over the years, she has become a key figure in Berlin’s club scene, championing a community-driven approach to DJing. Her sound fuses classic, groove-driven house, deep dubs, disco, acid, and high-energy R&B-infused cuts, always keeping dancefloors engaged with her deep-digging selections. As a co-founder of Body Language, a party emphasizing openness and diversity, Stella has helped reshape Berlin’s queer nightlife by curating vibrant, musically rich lineups. Beyond DJing, her musical journey extends to singing. In 2022, she released Détends-Toi with Stella and the Longos, a collaborative 80s Zouk and Boogie tribute on Cosmic Records. While her 6-piece band has been touring widely, her international DJ career has flourished, with sets at Nowadays, De School, Gay Haze, Cocktail D’Amore, and Panorama Bar, as well as a China tour. She also brings her musical knowledge to the airwaves, hosting The Breakfast Show on Refuge Worldwide.
