Frequently Asked Questions

Some useful practical info

General + Services

What are the dates and opening hours?

  • Friday June 6: 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM

  • Saturday June 7: 12:00 PM – 1:00 AM

  • Sunday June 8: 12:00 PM – 1:00 AM

  • Monday June 9: 12:00 PM – 00:00 AM

Will there be food and drinks?

Yes, there will be multiple local food partners offering a wide variety of quality food and drink options. More details will follow.

Is the festival wheelchair friendly?

We are trying our best to make the festival accessible to all, but we cannot guarantee that moving around in a wheelchair will be easy. There are risks of getting stuck if it rains because most of the ground is not paved.

That said, wheelchair users are allowed to enter the festival grounds through the VIP entrance (Beukenlaan). Dedicated parking spaces are available in de Beukenlaan, too, only if requested beforehand. Please request via info@jazzmiddelheim.eu .

Will there be lockers on the festival?

Yes, near the festival's entrance. We provide lockers to keep your stuff safe. Keep in mind these will cost you a small fee.

Will there be wifi on the festival?

Unfortunately, there will be no wifi at the festival, but there will be sufficient 5G coverage.

Can I bring food or drinks?

No, you cannot bring your own food or drinks to the festival. We have a variety of options on-site, so there's something for everyone. You can, however, bring empty drinking bottles, which you can fill with water on-site.

Can I withdraw money on-site?

You can't. We are - mostly - a cashless festival.

What will you do with the pictures taken on site?

Please know that by entering the festival, you automatically agree to and accept the terms of use of all video filming and photo image registrations and agree to allow Jazz Middelheim and its media partners to use these images. You will then find photos of the events on our Facebook page and Instagram accounts.

How can I contact you for press related questions?

If you have press inquiries, please send an email to inge@stilletto.be (Subject: Jazz Middelheim Festival).

Tickets

When and where can I buy tickets?

Ticket sales have started and you can get yours via our ticket shop. We work with a ticket wave system. That means that Early Bird tickets go online first. Once this category is sold out, Regular Tickets become available for a slightly higher fee. Once these are sold out, the Final Wave tickets go online (again, for a slightly higher fee). The bottom line here is that the sooner you buy a ticket, the sweeter the deal.

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Yes, you can - unless we sell out that day in advance.

Can I buy tickets upfront with cash?

Yes, you can. Send us an email at info@jazzmiddelheim.eu, and we will instruct you on where and when you can pay for your ticket with cash.

How many tickets can I order?

You can buy tickets for other people too. Just be aware that there is a limit of 10 tickets per order.

I bought a ticket, but I can't find it in my inbox.

Tickets will be sent to all buyers 2 weeks before the festival (this is an anti-fraud measure). Please check your spam! This can happen sometimes.

Only after a double (and triple) check can you ask to resend your tickets via this link.

Do my kids need to buy a ticket?

  • Kids below 3 years: no ticket needed.

  • Kids under 12 years: reduced fare kids' tickets in the ticket shop.

  • Kids above 12 years: need a regular ticket.

I can't come anymore. Where can I resell my ticket?

If you want to sell your ticket, we kindly redirect you to our Ticketswap page. It's the only safe way to buy and sell tickets. Please do not post (or buy) via our social media platforms - we will delete all those comments, as they can be confused for scam tactics.

Cashless & Credits

How do electronic payments with wristbands work?

At the festival entrance, we will scan and link your ticket to your wristband. Once this is activated, you can check in (and check out) during your stay by scanning your wristband.

To charge your wristband with credits, you can scan the QR code on your wristband with your Payconiq by Bancontact app or you can use one of our many top-up desks where we accept cards.

When you want to have a drink or buy some food, you just have to scan your wristband. It’s as simple as that! Your available balance will be displayed after every purchase. If you're not sure how many credits you have, just ask the bartender. Note that we use reusable cups and that they have a recoverable deposit of €1.5.

How can I charge my wristband?

This year, we have two wristband charging options for you:

Top-up desks: spread across the festival grounds, where you can pay with your debit or credit card.

Your banking app: if your banking app is linked to Payconiq by Bancontact, you can directly top up your wristband. Just scan the QR code in the app.

How can I check the amount of credits I have left?

After every order you place, your leftover credits will be shown on the device at the bar. If you forget how many credits you have left, just go to a bar or cash desk and ask one of our crew members.

Can I recover remaining credits after the festival?

If you still have some money left on your wristband after the festival, you can simply request it between June 10 (09:00) and June 20 (18:00).

To request a refund, please visit this website and create an account with the 6 digit code on the back of the chip of your bracelet/card and follow the steps.

Note: if you would like to get a refund, please be aware that Weezevents charges a small service fee of €1.

If you have more credits left for cup warranty than euros topped up on your bracelet, that amount is non-refundable.

Is there a limit to the amount I can recharge?

There is no limit! But for your own safety, the maximum amount you can recharge at once is €500.

Transport

How can I reach Jazz Middelheim using public transport?

You can take trams: Line 6 (stop at Antwerp P+R Olympiade, about a 10-minute walk) or Line 2 (stop at Antwerp Olympiade, about a 12-minute walk). Multiple bus lines (17, 18, 21, 33) also stop nearby.

How can I reach the festival by train?

Travelling by train? Smart move - it’s one of the easiest and most eco-friendly ways to get to the festival. We’ve got a free, non-stop shuttle service running between Antwerpen Berchem Station and the festival entrance - all day long, during the full duration of the festival. Just hop on, show your festival ticket/bracelet and let us bring you straight to the park.

The shuttle bus stop at Berchem Station will be located at the De Lijn bus stop at the Binnensingel, right under the pedestrian bridge. Find the Google Maps pin right here.

Alternatively, you can also travel to Antwerpen Centraal Station and transfer to Tram 2 or 6. After a short tram ride and a brief walk, you’ll be at Park Den Brandt.

Do you have a parking?

As things stand, we do not provide a parking service. The area around Jazz Middelheim will be extremely busy during the festival weekend due to multiple nearby events. We strongly recommend using public transport or parking further away to avoid congestion.

Will there be parking restrictions in the area?

Yes, several parking bans are in effect on certain roads and park entrances to ensure smooth traffic flow. Specific zones and times will be shared here soon.

Will you have a bicycle parking?

Yes! Around 2500 bicycle parking spots are available across 358 designated stalls along the cycling and walking routes. Bike parking will be inside the park—please park your bike in the designated area, and please dismount when you enter the park.

How do I access the festival by bike?

Cyclists can enter the park via Acacialaan and Kastanjelaan, where bike parking is available. Stewards will be on-site to guide you.

Where is the zone for taxis and Kiss & Ride?

A dedicated K+R zone is set up at the beginning of Eglantierlaan, with stewards to assist with taxi and ride-share drop-offs and pickups.

Where can I find more detailed mobility information?

For updated maps, routes, and detailed instructions, please visit our Mobility Page or check the Slim naar Antwerpen website.
