It's here: our full lineup for 2025 has arrived.
Bringing together generations of jazz artists.
After a three-year absence, Jazz Middelheim returns in all its glory to Park Den Brandt during the extended Pentecost weekend from 6 to 9 June 2025. Thanks to the collaboration between Paradise City Festival and Brosella, the iconic festival will be revived with a fresh take on the genre without losing sight of its rich history. Expect four days of musical discovery in the beautiful park setting in full bloom, where tradition and innovation blend harmoniously. The festival will feature two main stages—one seated and one standing—showcasing a diverse lineup of international and local visionaries while introducing a third stage dedicated to jazz-influenced DJ sets. Today, the organisation is proud to share the entire lineup.
Newly announced:
Adja - Alabaster dePlume - aki - Arp Frique & the Perpetual Singers - Bandler Ching - BL!NDMAN plays Moondog - Bram Stadhouders ft. B.O.X - BXL X LDN Interplay II - Cargo Mas ft. Greg Boyer - Dorian Dumont Large Trio 'La Volte' - Helena Casella - Maria Chiara Argirò - Orchestra Baobab - Ottla - SHABAKA - Stéphane Galland & The Rhythm Hunters XTNDD - The Harvest Time Experiment: A Tribute To Pharoah Sanders
Among the new names, SHABAKA stands out as a visionary force. Having led groups like Sons of Kemet and The Comet Is Coming, his latest evolution sees him moving away from the saxophone to explore the expressive and spiritual depths of the flute. The lineup also features Orchestra Baobab, the legendary Senegalese group whose Afro-Cuban-infused grooves have enchanted audiences for over five decades. Alabaster DePlume crafts deeply human music in a similarly genre-defying spirit, blending luminous jazz with poetic reflections on modern life. Another key performance: The Harvest Time Experiment, a project that reimagines Pharoah Sanders' transcendent track Harvest Time, famously recorded at Jazz Middelheim 1977. The ensemble will be led by original guitarist Tisziji Muñoz and bassist Joshua Abrams, making the project much more than just a tribute.
Beyond these headliners, there’s lots more exciting to enjoy. Bandler Ching will fuse electronic beats with jazz-infused grooves, while aki's atmospheric jazz will blend warmth with minimalism. Ottla will deliver electrifying jazz-rock explorations and BL!NDMAN will pay tribute to Moondog's hypnotic compositions. As part of his residency that involves a different performance every day, Stéphane Galland's fourth performance of the weekend will be a collaboration with The Rhythm Hunters, diving into global influences with his signature sense of rhythm and melody. Cargo Mas, Bram Stadhouders & B.O.X, Helena Casella, Adja and Maria Chiara Argirò will bring their vibrant flavours, from neo-soul to experimental pop and electronic-infused jazz. Finally, BXL x LDN Interplay II will spotlight the next generation of jazz innovators.
These artists will offer the audience a transformative experience where jazz tradition meets the future. Jazz Middelheim will take place from June 6 to 9 at the scenic Park Den Brandt, offering four days of exceptional performances across three stages, a family-friendly atmosphere, and a vibrant culinary experience.
